Combined Economic & Emission Dispatch Involving AI Techniques Using Anti-Predatory Particle Swarm Optimization
In this research, economic dispatch (ED) issues are solved using an anti-predatory particles swarm optimization (APSO) technique. Thermal power stations comprising three to six generators are used to test the technique. The effectiveness of APSO is contrasted with that of the Genetic Algorithm (GA), a modified version known as new PSO (NPSO), and classic particle swarm optimization (SPSO). While valve-point load (VPL) effects are not present in the six-generator system, they are present in the threegenerator system. The results show that when compared to other approaches, APSO produces better solutions and shows more steady convergence. This demonstrates how well APSO works to optimize economic dispatch in power systems.
