UAV-Assisted IRS-SIMO System in 6G Communication
The aim of this paper is to integrate the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-assisted single input multiple output (SIMO) device-to-device (D2D) systems to improve the reliability of single input single output (SISO) device-to-device (D2D) systems in beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G communications. This proposal is useful for improving the reliability in infrastructure-less sensor or IoT based-network. The mathematical framework for the UAV-assisted-IRS-SIMO-D2D (UA-IRS-SIMO-D2D) system has been developed in height-dependent Nakagami-m fading and derived the expression of spectral efficiency and closed-form expression of an outage probability as a performance metrics. The theoretical results are validated by using MATLAB and compared it with the existing state-of-the-art. The results indicate that dynamic positioning of UAV/drone allows for enhancing the spectral efficiency and outage probability.
