Temperature Sensing Using Bare and Packaged Thermal FBGs: A Comparative Study
This experiment investigates the temperature sensitivity of bare and thermal packaged Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) by analyzing their wavelength shift in response to variation in temperature. The results demonstrate a consistent and repeatable pattern, indicating that the packaged thermal FBG exhibited a higher sensitivity to temperature changes compared to the bare FBG. Graphical analysis confirmed the linear relationship between temperature change and wavelength shift. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of FBGs for precise temperature sensing, highlighting their potential in industrial and scientific applications.
