Some thoughts about siblicide
This paper aims to make clinicians aware of the possibility of a family experiencing an episode of siblicide, if only for the clinician to consider and subsequently reject the risk. For those brought up in a multiple sibling home, how many times have you or your siblings threatened, wished or even fantasied about killing your brother or sister (or even both)? Threatening your siblings in moments of anger is a common phenomenon in some childhoods and most of us, if we are honest, have thought about it sometimes but luckily/usually have not carried out the threat.
