MORPHOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF THE HUMERUS OF THE WOOLLY RHINOCEROS
The article presents findings on the study of the anatomical structure of the right humerus of the woolly rhinoceros found in a sand quarry in the Mogilev region. It also presents the results of morphometric studies on the humerus of the rhinoceros found, including a comparison with the similar morphometric parameters in the humerus of horses and cattle. A comparative analysis was carried out for the morphometric data obtained on the humerus under investigation and the data already known and described in the literature concerning the similar bones of the woolly rhinoceroses found in various territories of Eurasia. The main locations where fossils of the woolly rhinoceros have been discovered in the territory of Belarus are shown.
