THE METHODOLOGICAL HERITAGE OF THE SCHOOL OF PROFESSOR G.V. ROGOVA AND ITS ACADEMIC POTENTIAL FOR PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER

The article presents the methodological heritage of Professor G.V Rogova’s school and her followers in the field of professional foreign language teachers training. The author highlights a number of key academic achievements made by the disciples under the guidance of G.V Rogova, which reflect and develop the academic concept of the methodological school. The article pays attention to the issues of target settings for training foreign language teachers, the center of which is the personality of the teacher. The author shares the modern experience of academic activity of the Department of Linguadidactics and Modern Technologies of Foreign Language Education, the basis of which is the methodological traditions and ideas of the academic school of Professor G.V Rogova.
