Waste Collection Vehicle Route Optimization: A Case Study at the Hellenic Military Academy
In this article, we present a case study of the waste collection problem at the Hellenic Military Academy. The waste is sorted by type and collected by a garbage truck. To minimize the travel cost of the waste collection vehicle, we apply the Markov Decision Process methodology. This approach enables the development of more efficient algorithms.
