Single‐Layer Multiple Resonances Metasurface for Polarization‐Independent Broadband Achromatism (Advanced Optical Materials 22/2025)
Broadband Achromatic Metasurface The polarization-independent broadband achromatic metasurface based on single-layer multiple resonances offers an effective solution to the challenge of interlayer alignment and holds great potential for applications in satellite systems, drones, and more. In article 2500438, Cheng Huang, Xiaoliang Ma, Xiangang Luo, and co-workers propose a novel dispersion control method by introducing independent multiple resonant modes within a single-layer structure, enabling nonlinear phase control across a broadband bandwidth. By compensating for spatial phase delays and implementing achromatic design, the bandwidth of the metasurface can be effectively expanded.
