Research on Mechanism of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Rehabilitation Treatment of IBS from Intestinal Flora

Objective To Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) is a recurrent functional gastrointestinal disease. There is no organic change in IBS, and its pathophysiology is not completely clear. At present, the pathogenesis of IBS includes genetic factors, food intolerance, abnormal intestinal motility, visceral hypersensitivity, abnormal brain gut axis regulation, intestinal flora imbalance, intestinal infection and immune factors, as well as psychological factors. Traditional Chinese medicine, as the dominant subject of gastrointestinal diseases, has good clinical effect and is not easy to relapse. It has obvious effect in the treatment of IBS and is widely used. This article will review the importance of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of IBS, intestinal flora in the prevention and treatment of IBS, and the research progress of IBS rehabilitation intervention.
