Nowe stanowisko Drosera ×obovata (Droseraceae) na Łopieniu w Beskidzie Wyspowym (Karpaty Zachodnie)
In 2022, a new Drosera ×obovata locality was discovered in a transitional peat at the summit of Łopień Mt. in the Beskid Wyspowy Mts. It is located within the EG 0231 ATPOL grid square with a side of 2 km (Zając & Zając 2001; Fig. 1), at an altitude of 929–930 m above sea level. This species had not previously been recorded in the Polish part of the Beskids, making it a new discovery for this mountain range. Between 2022 and 2024, a population of around a dozen plants was recorded growing in the central part of the peat bog, in the lowest and best-watered area covered by the Eriophorum angustifolium-Sphagnum fallax community (Fig. 2, Tab. 1), as well as in slightly elevated places where the proportion of species characteristic of the Carici-Agrostietum caninae community increases.
