Design of Multi-Functional Fusion Intelligent On-Board Terminal for Fire Engine Based on LoRa Communication

In response to the problems of the existing on-board terminals being unable to adapt to the diverse and cluttered rescue equipment of fire engines, as well as the strong signal shielding of metal carriages, the paper develops a multifunctional fusion fire engine intelligent on-board terminal based on LoRa technology. In this method, the key equipment information of fire vehicles is collected based on Lora, and the data collected from fire vehicles is uploaded to the server for obtaining comprehensive information such as vehicle details, installation parameters, key equipment information, real-time positioning and driving trajectory in real time through LoRa/4G, which overcomes the problems of inaccurate and unreliable data collection and transmission during automatic inspection of on-board equipment. Furthermore, the hardware system architecture model that integrates various functional modules of intelligent vehicle terminals and corresponding system software are designed and developed to achieve practical application of vehicle-mounted terminals. Finally, specific experiments conducted on fire trucks at fire stations showed that this method can accurately locate vehicles and obtain detailed information on various vehicle conditions such as onboard equipment and driving conditions in real time and validates the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method in this paper.
