An IoT-Based Smart Sealing Machine for Mobile Devices: Integration of Embedded Systems and Image Processing

Under the background of the sharing economy driving innovation in on-demand service models, this study designed and developed an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart terminal waterproof film laminator for mobile devices. This innovative apparatus integrates automated film-lamination processes with mobile payment systems, aiming to address the technical challenges of protecting mobile phones from water, particulate matter, and oily contaminants in outdoor scenarios. Utilizing multi-sensor fusion positioning technology and an airtight packaging algorithm, the device achieves a 98.6% precision lamination qualification rate (n=100). Experimental data demonstrate that the system intelligently applies waterproof films to mobile phones while ensuring hermetic sealing, effectively safeguarding devices against water, dust, and oil fumes. Featuring a modular architecture design, the equipment supports remote status monitoring and cloud-based data analysis, with a daily processing capacity of 300–500 units. The proposed technical solution not only validates the feasibility of integrating smart hardware with sharing economy frameworks but also provides a quantifiable technological pathway for the intelligent upgrading of public service infrastructure, demonstrating significant market potential.
