Screen-Printed Current Collector for Flexible Supercapacitor
Current collector is the essential part of electrochemical energy storage devices such as supercapacitor. This work reports the design and fabrication of a fully solution processed and screen-printed carbon coated copper current collector films. The carbon coating is used to avoid electrolyte contamination of the copper current collector, and construct a flexible, encapsulated supercapacitor. The proposed supercapacitor achieved an area capacitance of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$178 \text{mF} \text{cm}^{-2}$</tex>, an energy density of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{1 8. 5} \boldsymbol{\mu} \mathbf{W h} \mathbf{~ c m}^{-\mathbf{2}}$</tex> and a power density of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{0. 9 1}\,\text{mW} \text{cm}^{-2}$</tex> and good bending stability.
