A Case Report on Symmetrical Preclinical Obturator Hernia and Literature Review

During the dissection of a human specimen from an elderly male, an extremely rare symmetrical preclinical obturator hernia was discovered. This report provides morphological evidence for the study of obturator hernias. Through further dissection, measurement and description of symmetrical preclinical obturator hernia, the contents of the bilateral obturator hernia are extraperitoneal fats, resembling curved fingers. And the method of bibliometric analysis was adopted to sort out and summarize the relevant literature in the past 10 years. The reports of preclinical obturator hernia are helpful for clinicians to improve their understanding and clinical management of such diseases. Bibliometric analysis indicates that in recent years, domestic research on obturator hernia has paid relatively high attention to clinical diagnosis and laparoscopic treatment. In the future, research on animal models related to obturator hernias should be strengthened.
