Functional abdominal pain in children – a diagnostic and therapy challange

Functional abdominal pain is a common disorder în chil­dren, often associated with anxiety and depression, with impact on the child’s school and social life. Despite scientific efforts to clarify its etiopathogenesis and therapeutic approach, its management is a challenge both în terms of time allocated to its management, diagnosis and therapy. This paper highlights the diagnostic and therapeutic options for functional abdominal pain în children.
