Air Supply System Control of PEMFC with SMD-PID Strategy Under Variable Altitude
Inspired by the fact that the performance of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) decreases with the increase of altitude, a combination of high order sliding mode differentiator (SMD) and PID control strategy is proposed in this paper to improve the environmental adaptability of the fuel cell. Firstly, a variable altitude model of the system is established, experimental results show that the average relative error of the voltage of the variable altitude model is 1.1018 %. On this premise, the cathode pressure is estimated accurately by using SMD, the estimated error is within 1 %. Finally, combined with PID control, the precise control of variable height air supply system lasting 1600 s is realized.
