Model Predictive Direct Speed Control of PMSM Based on a Novel MRAS Position Sensorless
In response to the issues of inaccurate rotor angle observation, large speed estimation errors, and weak resistance to load disturbances in the traditional model reference adaptive system (MRAS) for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), this paper introduces a fast super-twisting algorithm (FSTA) adaptive observer based on weightless model predictive direct speed control (MPDSC). Firstly, replacing the traditional PI adaptive rate with the fast super-twisting algorithm improves the system's precision in observing rotor angle and estimated speed. Secondly, an extended sliding mode load torque observer is designed to provide real-time feedback of the observed load torque value to the MPDSC, thereby enhancing the system's resistance to load disturbances. Finally, simulation results demonstrate that, in the control method of MPDSC, the MRAS based on FSTA exhibits superior observation performance and dynamic characteristics compared to the traditional MRAS.
