Distributionally Resilient and Safe Control of Low-Voltage AC Microgrids

This paper introduces a distributionally resilient and safety-guaranteed control (DRSG) strategy tailored for low-voltage AC microgrids subjected to unbounded false data injection (FDI) attacks. Unlike existing approaches that separately address safety or resilience, the proposed fully distributed resilient and safe control framework achieves both by maintaining critical system states within predefined safety bounds, even at the onset of adversarial disturbances. The control design is specifically adapted for low-voltage weak AC microgrids characterized by high R/X ratios, where resistive line impedance dominate, preventing the decoupling of active and reactive power from frequency and voltage. DRSG mitigates transient overshoots induced by low inertia, ensuring safe and stable voltage and frequency dynamics throughout operation. By incorporating Control Barrier Functions (CBFs) and Control Lyapunov Functions (CLFs), the method guarantees system safety and uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB) convergence in frequency regulation, voltage containment, and proportional power sharing. Simulation results validate the framework's effectiveness in enhancing system reliability, safety, and resilience under challenging and attack-prone scenarios.
