To the question on methodology of modeling and evaluation of the design of rapidly erectable explosionproof stoppings

This article presents the study results of interaction of shock air wave and rapidly erectable stoppings using numerical modeling techniques based on the finite element method. It was established that existing holding systems of parachute stopping do not always provide the necessary resistance to dampen the shock wave at certain cross-sections of mine workings. The arrangement of the stopping elements with the maximum value of Rankine criterion was determined. The results of the studies were used to develop the design of a system for additional fastening of the stopping material to the elements of the anchor support.

Abstract

This article presents the study results of interaction of shock air wave and rapidly erectable stoppings using numerical modeling techniques based on the finite element method. It was established that existing holding systems of parachute stopping do not always provide the necessary resistance to dampen the shock wave at certain cross-sections of mine workings. The arrangement of the stopping elements with the maximum value of Rankine criterion was determined. The results of the studies were used to develop the design of a system for additional fastening of the stopping material to the elements of the anchor support.
