Optimal Allocation Method of Multi-Type Power Flow Regulation Devices Based on a Transmission Corridor Capability Evaluation Matrix

Modern urban power grids often face power flow imbalance, line overloading, and limited transmission capacity. This paper proposes a power flow regulation device allocation method based on a transmission corridor capability evaluation matrix (TCCE matrix). To accurately reflect the power flow distribution and transmission capacity of the target grid, an evaluation index system incorporating line load ratio extremes, average load ratio, and weighted power flow entropy is constructed. A multi-stage allocation strategy centered on the TCCE matrix is further proposed, dynamically determining the applicable scenarios for Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices, embedded DC (EDC) transmission systems under typical operating conditions. Case studies on a load center transmission section in Jiangsu Province validate the superiority of the proposed method, offering insights for grid planning in regions with constrained transmission corridor resources.
