Thermal Aging Resistance Improvement of Cellulose Insulating Paper Modified by Ladder-like Polyphenylsilsesquioxane
In an endeavor to augment the thermal aging resistance of transformer insulating paper, this research undertakes the preparation of cellulose insulating paper modified with ladder - like polyphenylsilsesquioxane (LPSQ) and carries out thermal aging experiments. Prior to and subsequent to aging, the tensile strength, relative permittivity, and breakdown field strength of the insulating paper are meticulously analyzed. The experimental outcomes reveal that the retention rate of the tensile strength of the modified paper is roughly three - fold that of the unmodified paper, and the breakdown field strength increases by 16.75%. Furthermore, finite element simulations are employed to analyze the vibration of the windings. The results show that the amplitude of the LPSQ-modified insulating paper is reduced by 33.32% to 35.11%, indicating a significant enhancement in its resistance to deformation. The enhancement of the mechanical properties and thermal aging resistance of the insulating paper is principally attributed to the remarkable thermal aging resistance intrinsically present in LPSQ. This effect is manifested through the incorporation of LPSQ into the insulating paper matrix, which gives rise to a more stable and durable composite structure, thereby facilitating the improvement of the overall performance characteristics of the insulating paper.
