A measurement digital twin model for accurate evaluation machining error of axial plane of high-end rotary equipment

The axial plane machining error of the new generation of high-end rotary equipment represented by the turbine-based combined cycle engine determine the rotary performance of the equipment. At present, the evaluation of axial plane characteristics is limited by the unit hardware accuracy of the instrument, and it is difficult to solve the coupling problem of variable error parameters in the measurement process. Therefore, this paper proposes a measurement digital twin model for accurate evaluation machining error of axial plane of high-end rotary equipment. This method mainly includes two aspects. The first aspect is to parameterize the error of the axial measurement process. By establishing a multi-source real-time error coupling model, the accurate correlation between the axial plane characteristics and the error sources that can be updated in real time is achieved. The second aspect is to construct the measurement closed-loop adjustment framework of software-hardware coordination to realize the gradual convergence of the measurement reference. Based on the experimental verification of a rotor, we realized the rapid parametric characterization of the measurement errors, as well as the real-time update and adjustment in the measurement process. The results show that the perpendicularity measurement error is reduced by 25%, the parallelism error is reduced by 70% and the flatness measurement error is reduced by 43%. The measurement efficiency increased by 57%. Our method provides a reliable theoretical basis and intelligent measurement model for the accurate measurement of the new generation of high-end rotary equipment.
