Construction of Spatiotemporal Simulation Datasets for Regional Grid Operation Planning

This paper proposed a method for simulating transmission line-constrained power flows in regional power grids based on typical daily load data and generation statistics. The method addressed the limitations of existing approaches that cannot simulate load conditions, power exchange, and generation in different regional grids over continuous electricity trading periods using real statistical data. By incorporating data released by the National Bureau of Statistics and other official agencies, the method constructed multi-time-scale sequential load data, dynamically adjusted power exchange, and estimated regional generation. These elements were integrated into a comprehensive optimization model for simulation analysis, providing reliable data support to ensure the safe and stable operation of the grid under varying load and generation conditions. Through multi-time-scale sequential data extraction and dynamic power adjustment based on regional transmission line constraints, this method is not only applicable to Security-Constrained Unit Commitment (SCUC) in scenarios where precise data is unavailable, but also offers valuable data support for power flow analysis, grid dispatch simulations, and carbon intensity accounting, demonstrating broad practical applicability.
