Exploring Trust, Perceived Usefulness, and Risks in AI-Based Mobile Payment Continuance: An Empirical Study
Mobile payment app usage has widespread adoption in India, permeating various aspects of daily life. With the surge in smartphone users, the reliance on digital payments has experienced a significant upswing. The United Nations goals for sustainable development have emphasized the significance of digital payment methods. The growth of artificial intelligencebased payments has increased recently. This research will study the factors that condition the continued use of AI-based mobile payments, with a focus on extending the Technology Acceptance Model. The respondents were asked to fill out a questionnaire for users who have experience using mobile phone payment applications with embedded AI. The data analysis has been performed by partial least square structural equation modeling. Significant drivers like trust, perceived usefulness, satisfaction, perceived risk, and continuance intention strongly influence mobile payment continuance. The research findings assist in enhancing the comprehension of AI based mobile payment app usage behaviour in India and provide insights for academia and industry.
