INFECTIOUS SAFETY MEASURES FOR RABBIT LISTERIOSIS
The article presents a review of the literature on rabbit listeriosis: the issues of pathogenesis, clinical picture, virulence of the pathogen and laboratory diagnosis of the disease are highlighted. Listeriosis is a zooanthroponous disease, the causative agent of which is Listeria monocytogenes. The mechanism of listeria transmission is fecal-oral. A person gets infected mainly by eating poorly processed food. In rabbit breeding, listeriosis leads to serious economic losses. The diagnosis of listeriosis is made comprehensively, taking into account epizootological data, clinical signs, results of autopsy, bacteriological, serological studies and a biological sample. Much attention is paid in the article to the methods of infection safety, which includes a wide range of measures aimed at preventing transmission of infection. These are vaccination, the use of antibacterial and some natural alternative drugs (probiotics and phytobiotics), strengthening sanitary control measures at food processing enterprises and food handling, disinfection of premises using antiseptic agents, compliance with hygiene rules and other measures.
