Simulation study on collaborative lane changing of intelligent connected vehicles at intersections
With the intelligent transformation of the automotive industry, intelligent connected vehicle technology is gradually becoming an important means to improve traffic efficiency and ensure driving safety. As a key node in the urban transportation network, the problem of vehicle coordinated lane changing at intersections is of great significance for alleviating traffic congestion and improving road capacity. The study first constructed an intelligent connected vehicle intersection traffic model, which comprehensively considers the lane layout, signal phase setting, and perception and interaction capabilities of intelligent connected vehicles at the intersection. By collecting relevant data from actual urban road intersections, the model was parameterized and validated to ensure its accuracy and practicality. In the simulation research, advanced simulation platforms and technologies were used to simulate the collaborative lane changing process of intelligent connected vehicles at intersections. We focused on the key aspects of vehicle mounted sensor information perception, vehicle to vehicle communication technology, and collaborative lane changing control strategy. By simulating various scenarios such as different traffic flows, different signal states, and different driving behaviors, the collaborative lane changing performance of intelligent connected vehicles in intersections was analyzed in depth. The research results show that the collaborative lane changing strategy of intelligent connected vehicles at intersections can effectively improve driving efficiency and reduce conflicts and delays during the lane changing process. Meanwhile, by optimizing lane changing trajectories and speed planning, driving safety and comfort have been further enhanced.
