Real-Time EEG-Based Drowsiness Detection with IoT-Enabled Vehicle Safety Alert System
As driver drowsiness is considered one of the major cause of road accidents worldwide, it is necessary to find out the reason that causes road accidents. To prevent such accidents, an integrated system that combines EEG-based drowsiness detection with an IoT-enabled accident detection and alert mechanism for vehicles is developed; proposed system aim to prevent accidents caused by driver drowsiness and provide immediate assistance in case of an accident. The drowsiness detection component uses EEG signals to monitor the driver’s brain activity and alert them when signs of drowsiness are detected. Various sensors to detect collisions, smoke or fire, and automatically alerts emergency services with the vehicle’s location is integrated to the system. Integrating all the above features offers a comprehensive solution to enhance road safety and reduce response times in emergency situations.
