Research on Human obstruction Model in UWB wearable device localization accuracy
To enhance the positioning accuracy of wearable Ultra-Wideband (UWB) devices in indoor environments, this study introduces a continuous Gaussian probability distribution model incorporating continuous impact parameters. By introducing the Fresnel zone, a mathematical model of the wearer system is established, and the influence of obstruction on the ranging measurement error in the communication channel is analyzed. The parameter is quantified as the Degree of Fresnel zone Obstruction (DFO), and a probability distribution model based on DFO is proposed. Experimental results indicate that the DFO model exhibits better performance in both ranging and static positioning experiments. The DFO model reduces the root mean square error (RMSE) by 33.7% compared to the traditional uniform - parameter Gaussian model and by 22.5% compared to the Degree of Obstruction (DoO) model, confirming that error trends are consistent across different RHA values in the DFO model.
