An Experimental Study on Analysis of Brain Signals using Phase Plane Visualization
This project studies the acquisition and processing of electroencephalography (EEG) signals, from the frontal lobe, with emphasis on the division of the signals into the essential frequency bands—Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta. The central aim of the research is analyzing phase planes, which gives the detailed view of the dynamic interaction between the amplitudes of EEG signals and their derivatives in time. These phase planes are to be analyzed to improve the perception of brain activity, especially its role in cognition and emotional regulation. The approach could lead to the development of non-invasive diagnostic tools in neurological and mental health disorders.
