DIFFICULTIES IN IMPLEMENTING BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN THE PRODUCT CERTIFICATION SYSTEM IN UKRAINE
Today, in the field of technical regulation, the task is to develop an optimal algorithm for combining sustainable and innovative approaches to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of certification. The main tasks of introducing innovative technologies into the certification system are to speed up processes, end-to-end traceability of information about products from the primary manufacturer to the consumer, minimize product falsification, and standardize the new certification scheme. The article examines the problems that may arise during the certification of food products in the process of implementing blockchain technology. The authors pay special attention to the issues of standardization, technical, metrological, and personnel support during the implementation of the specified technology. The emphasis is on the shortcomings of domestic legislation in this area, which significantly affects the speed of implementation of blockchain technologies in the commercial space of certification systems. Based on the analysis of international and domestic experience in this area, the possibilities of using different types of platforms to implement the tasks set, both private and public. It has been shown that the use of blockchain technology will significantly reduce the risks of product counterfeiting, reduce the corruption component in food certification and ensure traceability at all stages of the product life cycle. Examples of successfully implemented projects provide considerable confidence that the concept of certification using blockchain technology is promising, necessary and relevant in times of rapid digitalization and digitization of services.
