ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE OR VAPING-ASSOCIATED LUNG INJURY (EVALI) WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF BILATERAL PNEUMOTHORAX, SUBCUTANEOUS EMPHYSEMA OF THE CHEST AND NECK CLINICAL CASE

The study presents a clinical case analysis of EVALI (e-cigarette, or vaping, product use-associated lung injury) – lung damage associated with the use of electronic cigarettes and vaping devices. The relevance of this research is driven by the increasing global incidence of EVALI and the insufficient understanding of the delayed effects of vaping. The aim of this work is to investigate the etiological factors and examine the mechanisms of respiratory system damage caused by the components of vaping liquids. The study analyzes instrumental and laboratory findings confirming the diagnosis. The novelty of this article lies in its comprehensive assessment of the clinical presentation and the patient's dynamic response to therapy. The findings highlight the need for further research into the long-term consequences of EVALI and the development of preventive measures.
