GreenGrowthandEntrepreneurshipinIndia:BusinessOpportunitiesinRenewableEnergyandCleanTechnologiesforVision2047

India's vision to achieve a developed country status by 2047, encapsulated in the 'Viksit Bharat 2047' vision, is deeply coupled with its focus on renewable energy and green technologies. With the target of becoming net-zero carbon emission by 2070 and an intermediate goal of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, the nation is set to unlock massive business opportunities in the clean energy space. The present paper employs a mixed strategy to determine the emerging trends emphasizing green technologies and renewable energies. The research results are intended to demonstrate the growth of such technologies and the value they are contributing to the Indian economy. It also emphasizes market segmentation techniques and Indian and world challenges of different Indian markets As part of the budget, the National Green Hydrogen Mission has been allocated ₹19,744 crore and will make India a global green hydrogen export hub. This mission also opens doors for investments in manufacturing electrolyzers, hydrogen storage, and related technology. Furthermore, the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana aims to equip one crore families with rooftop solar systems, providing them with 300 units of free electricity per month, thus energizing the domestic solar market. India's liberal Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policies, in the form of 100% FDI through the automatic route for renewable energy projects, further increase its appeal to foreign investors. The government's progressive policies like waivers on inter-state transmission charges and production-linked incentives make the business-friendly climate in the clean energy segment even more supporting.
