SUCTION EFFECTS IN MIXED CONVECTION FLOW OF COUPLE STRESS HYBRID NANOFLUID

Couple stress fluids exhibit microstructural effects and are suitable for modeling materials with internal rotations and size-dependent behaviors. Hence, this research aims to perform a numerical analysis of convective heat transfer in a couple stress hybrid nanofluid comprising AA7072-AA7075/CH3OH. The governing partial differential equations are converted to ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations and solved using the bvp4c function. The numerical research reveals that augmenting the suction parameter leads to an approximate 18.6% decrease in the skin friction coefficient and a 77.5% improvement in the local Nusselt number. These findings highlight the significant impact of suction on improving thermal transfer. This research contributes to understanding hybrid nanofluids in microfluidic device design, targeted drug delivery systems, and thermal management in compact electronic systems that require precise control of heat and fluid flow at microscale levels.
