Evaluasi kinerja perawat di rumah sakit: A scoping review

Background: Performance evaluation plays a crucial role in monitoring and assessing the activities of nurses over time. Optimal performance has the potential to positively impact individual work behaviors. However, the current nurse performance evaluation system is considered to be underperforming, and it has yet to deliver satisfactory results for clients in hospitals. Purpose: To identify the performance evaluation system implemented by the hospital in assessing nurse performance. Method: This review identified nursing performance evaluation through electronic searches using Scopus Q1 and Q2 indexed databases for articles published between 2020 and 2024. Of the 38 articles identified, the screening process resulted in 17 articles based on title and inclusion and exclusion criteria. After full-text due diligence, 7 articles remained ready for further review. Results: Identification shows various methods of performance evaluation, such as multi-source feedback, patient response, 360 degrees, website-based, and leadership evaluation. Each method has a positive impact, including the establishment of good relationships between professionals, improving the quality of service, and patient satisfaction. In addition, this method also increases nurses' self-confidence and supports nurses' health at work. All of this contributes to more effective decision making. Conclusion: Varied performance evaluation methods, such as multisource feedback, can enhance nurse performance when tailored to their competencies. Hospital management should develop evaluations that support work motivation without neglecting the health conditions of nurses. Keywords: Evaluation; Hospitals; Nurse Performance.
