Preface: The 41st UIT International Heat Transfer Conference
Since 1983, the Unione Italiana Termofluidodinamica -UIT (Italian Union for Thermal-Fluid Dynamics) has organized an annual international conference to bring together experts in the fields of heat transfer and fluid flow, providing a platform to share ideas and disseminate knowledge. The 41st edition of the conference took place in Napoli, Italy, from June 19 to 21, 2024, at the Congress Center of the Universit Degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.The event was organized by the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale, and this year's edition was particularly special, as it coincided with the 800th anniversary of the foundation of the Universit Degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.Approximately 140 papers were accepted for the presentation at the conference, which was attended by 180 participants, including 40 UIT nonmembers.Following a thorough screening process, the authors of five papers were invited to submit their papers for publication in this Special Issue of Computational Thermal Sciences. We are pleased to present this Special Issue, which includes the above-mentioned selected papers. They cover a wide range of topics in computational thermal sciences, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, bioheat transfer, solar energy, energy storage, and multiphase flow. The guest editors express their sincere gratitude to the authors for their valuable contributions and to the reviewers for their time and effort in providing thoughtful and timely feedback on the submitted papers.
