Dual-Wavelength Q-Switched LED-Pumped Lasers: Hybrid Nd:YLF/Glass Dual-Rod Injection Seeding
In this paper, we demonstrated a LED-side-pumped hybrid Nd:YLF and Nd:glass laser achieving dual-wavelength operation at 1047 nm and 1053 nm without any optical tuning elements. In the quasi-continuous wave (QCW) regime, the laser achieved a maximum average power of 2.71 W at a 20 Hz repetition. Under active Q-switching, a peak output power of 2.087 kW was obtained with 184 ns pulse duration at 500 Hz repetition rate, while the beam quality factor (M2) measured 9.8. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first demonstration of a dual-wavelength laser using intracavity seeded light injection technology, providing a novel approach to extend laser emission into adjacent spectral regions and enabling stable terahertz radiation sources.
