Study of detoxification properties of hypochlorite acid solution in the back-ground of experimental fumonizinotoxicosis in rats

The article highlights materials on the study of the detoxifying properties of a solution of hypo-chlorous acid (HCA), obtained by electrolysis, against the background of experimental fumonisin toxico-sis in rats. The results obtained indicated that with fumonisin toxicosis, inflammatory and toxic processes occurred in the body of experimental rats of group II, namely, progressive systemic damage to internal organs and tissues and the formation and accumulation of endo- and exogenous toxic substances were recorded, which intensified destructive processes, resulting in neuro-, hepato- and nephrotoxic reactions. In particular, a significant increase in all MSM fractions was established on the 7th day – 1.9 times, on the 14th day – 2.6 times, on the 21st day – 3.8 times, and on the 28th – 5.5 times, compared with the corresponding value of rats in the control group, which indicated the suppression of the detoxification function of the liver, increased catabolic processes and destructive processes in the liver. A probable increase in EII: on the 7th day of the experiment – 2.5 times, on the 14th – 3.4 times, on the 21st – 3.3 times and on the 28th day – 5.2 times, compared with the corresponding indicator of rats in the control group, which confirmed the pronounced membranotropic effect of fumonisins. A significant increase in the activity of ALT and AST was found, respectively, on the 7th day by 2.2 and 1,8 times, on the 14th – by 2.6 and 1.7 times, on the 21st – by 3.3 and 4.1 times and on the 28th – by 4.2 and 9.3 times, compared with the similar indicator of animals of the control group, which indicated a violation of the structure of hepatocyte membranes. A significant increase in the level of CIC in the blood, in particular on the 7th day – by 1.8 times, on the 14th – by 2.1 times, on the 21st – by 2.3 times and on the 28th – by 3.2 times, compared with the corresponding indicator of rats of the control group indicated a suppression of the immune-reactive system of the body due to the attachment of specific antibodies to the toxic products of fumonisins. At the same time, in rats of group III using the HCC solution, it was found that the indicated indicators were significantly lower and approached the corresponding value of animals of the control group. In particular, the content of MSM was significantly lower on the 14th day by 38.8 %, on the 21st day by 64.7 % and on the 28th day by 76 %, compared to the corresponding indicator of rats of group II. It was found that EII significantly decreased on the 14th day by 2,6 times, on the 21st by 1,7 times, and on the 28th by 4.4 times, compared with the corresponding indicator of rats of group II. A significant decrease in the activity of ALT and AST enzymes was recorded, respectively, on the 14th day, by 1.3 and 1.2 times, on the 21st, by 2.0 and 3.2 times, and on the 28th, by 3.2 and 9.7 times, compared with the corresponding indicators of rats of group II. It was found that the level of CIC during the observation period significantly (P < 0.001) decreased, in particular on the 14th day, 1,2 times, on the 21st, 1,6 times, and on the 28th, 4.6 times, compared with the corresponding indicators of rats of group II. As a result, the use of a solution of HCА against the background of experimental fumonisin toxicosis led to the restoration of the functional activity of the detoxification system, a decrease in the membranotropic action of fumonisins, and a decrease in inflammatory processes in the organs and tissues of experimental rats. The indicated changes in the studied indicators, in the pathogenesis of fumonisin toxicosis, were a key point in the subsequent positive prognosis and the likelihood of a response to the treatment.
