Fluorescence and quantitative phase imaging combination using a cost-effective imaging platform
This work presents an experimental validation of a dual-mode imaging platform that enables simultaneous fluorescence imaging (FI) and quantitative phase imaging (QPI) of both static and living samples. The key innovation lies in using a single illumination wavelength to provide both excitation light for FI and coherent illumination for QPI. This approach offers several advantages, including compactness, simplicity, and cost-effectiveness of the entire imaging system. For a wide range of samples, we first perform calibration and analysis of the individual imaging modes, followed by validation of the simultaneous operation of FI and QPI in parallel, demonstrating the system's single-shot imaging capability.
