AI-enabled monitoring of water pollutants by clusters of optical microresonators

This paper introduces pollutant sensor design integrating thousands of WGM cavities where glass microspheres and polymer 4D microtoroids are immobilized on a thin cover glass, forming distinct spatially segregated clusters. We present AI-based solution intended to quantify pollutants from the batch of the dynamical fingerprint responses with detectability as low as 1 ppb demonstrated.

Abstract

This paper introduces pollutant sensor design integrating thousands of WGM cavities where glass microspheres and polymer 4D microtoroids are immobilized on a thin cover glass, forming distinct spatially segregated clusters. We present AI-based solution intended to quantify pollutants from the batch of the dynamical fingerprint responses with detectability as low as 1 ppb demonstrated.
