Research on the application of mass spectrometry in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer
<p indent="0mm">Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in the world, and its mortality rate ranks the first in the “death list” of cancer. China has always advocated “early detection and early treatment”, but most of the patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage, and even after early tumor resection, the tumor may recur due to incomplete resection. In recent years, mass spectrometry (MS) has demonstrated excellent sensitivity, specificity and analytical speed in the detection of molecular markers for lung cancer. By analyzing samples of exhaled breath, blood and sputum, specific biomarkers for lung cancer can be quickly identified, which significantly improves the efficiency of early screening, and also provides the basis for subsequent targeted therapy. In this paper, mass spectrometry, which has been widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer in recent years, is reviewed, and its principles, technical characteristics, applications and development trends are introduced, with the aim of providing new ideas for the research and development of diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for lung cancer and clinical research.
