The objective of the investigation is to reverberate information about the interventions of nurses in pre- and intra-hospital care, victims of firearm injuries. The method used is a narrative review of the literature, which seeks to analyze and describe a body of knowledge already produced on the subject. The object of this study is the interventions of nurses with victims of firearms, having as a backdrop the actions proposed in the pre- and intra-hospital setting. The material was subjected to analysis based on the theoretical-methodological bases of the Theory of Practical Research in Nursing in Public Health Results: It was observed that the interventions of nurses to victims of violence involving firearms, both in the intra-hospital and pre-hospital context, are governed by public policies, respecting the characteristics of violence and its clinical specificities. It was also observed that the role of the nurse is similar to that of other health professionals, respecting the specificities of each profession. Conclusion: It was found that the actions of nurses to victims of violence and, particularly, of firearms follow standards established a priori and that the effectiveness of the public policies adopted by the Ministry of Health to mitigate the deleterious effects of violence, in general terms, has not had the desired effects due to the exponential increase in the number of victims, in national territory.
