Innovative Application of Big Data Technology in Ideological and Political Education in University: A Text Mining Approach through Online Forum Analysis

With the rapid progress of information technology, big data technology turns out to be not only a source of positive effects, but also a challenge for ideological and political education in colleges and universities. By pulling big data technology into ideological and political education, students' ideological trends can be monitored in a precise manner; teaching contents can be personalized according to the students' own level, and teaching evaluation can be improved as a whole. As a result, the relevance, effectiveness, and scientific foundation of ideological and political education can be put into practice. In this paper, mainly the students' online forums platform is designed, which employs big data technology to scrape text messages to analyze the thematic tendencies of the forums. And it would investigate the application of big data technology in ideological and political education at the universities. To implement big data technology in the education of ideology and politics in colleges and universities, this article looks at the present situation, constructs the main plan, analyzes the main problems, and brings out the solutions. As a result, the proposed methodology should be analyzed, and the results should be discussed. The research findings spotlight big data technology as a feasible resolution to the prevalent inadequacies presented by the present-day political and ideological education in colleges, such as the intangible monitoring of students' ideological trends, teacher-student misalignment of the teaching content, and an imperfect teaching evaluation system. Besides that, we put down the major causes that were revealed through the analysis. It gives a new approach, offering new concepts and tools of thinking for the college institutions' general reform. Doing this makes it easier to train students in political literacy and moral values.
