A NEW GENERALIZED COMMON FIXED POINT THEOREM AND ITS APPLICATIONS

ne of the most well-known theorems in fixed point theory is the Suzuki contraction theorem, whichhas been unified, generalized, and expanded upon in a variety of non-equivalent ways by many authors. In this paper, we further extend a recent result of Chandra et al. [8] for a pair of maps satisfying a newSuzuki-type generalized contractive condition on a complete metric space. We provide example to showthat obtained results are generalizations of comparable results in the existing literature. Existence ofcommon solution for a system of Voltera integral equations is also discussed.

Abstract

ne of the most well-known theorems in fixed point theory is the Suzuki contraction theorem, whichhas been unified, generalized, and expanded upon in a variety of non-equivalent ways by many authors.
