Synthesis and thin-film properties of a dimolybdenum complex of unsubstituted expanded phthalocyanine
A dinuclear molybdenum complex featuring a rectangular-shaped expanded phthalocyanine without substituents was synthesized by mixing phthalimide, guanidine hydrochloride, and ammonium molybdate. Broad near-infrared absorption bands in the 800-1400 nm range were observed in its vacuum-deposited thin films, and photocurrent measurements indicated its ability to generate photocarriers upon irradiation with near-infrared light.
