Teachers and Students Perspective towards Vedanta Education of Inter Colleges of Jhansi District

Teaching is considered as noble profession and aim of education is to convert an empty mind into open mind. A mind that knows how to think and which is not bounded by anything in this world. Such freedom in teachers and students is possible when mind of teachers or faculties is free and connected to ultimate reality of the world. Such freedom is possible in teaching and in the life of teachers and learners when there is something common, ultimate and absolute with which all the other things of life and world can be connected, which can be made as a base of everything and through which development of employee, organization and students can be happened. In Hinduism, Advaita Vedanta calls that absolute as Atman, Truth and Brahma. Vedanta provides a vision to compare each and everything with respect to absolute and when nothing of this world can be absolute then Vedanta provides a perspective to connect with ultimate at mental level. This paper with primary data collected through questionnaire filled by 95 faculty (employees) and 16 students of CBSE based inter colleges provides their perspective towards Vedanta education. This paper shows that most participants are positive for Vedanta education but there is need to give awareness of Vedanta through education.
