Study on the Effective Path of Digital Economy Driven Rural Poverty Eradication and Revitalization

Under the background of big data, the rise and rapid development of the digital economy has given economic and social development “new fields and new tracks” and “new momentum and new advantages”, and is becoming an important force leading China's economic growth and high-quality development of the countryside. To this end, based on the perspective of digital economy, this study constructs a measurement system with four dimensions and thirteen indicators, applies the entropy weight-TOPSIS method to assess the level of digital economy development in Chinese provinces and regions, and constructs the expected poverty probability model to measure the vulnerability of rural families to poverty and identify the “poor” and “distressed” marginal groups; and uses the target group as the “new track” and “new dynamic energy and new advantages”. The study also constructs an expected poverty probability model to measure the vulnerability of rural households to poverty and identify the marginal groups of “poor” and “distressed”; with the target groups as the focus point of articulation, the study applies the partial least squares (PLS) method to filter the effective paths of rural poverty alleviation and revitalization driven by digital economy. The study finds that: the level of China's digital economy development shows a gradient decline from east to west, with the highest in the eastern region, and the western and northeastern regions lagging behind relatively; the risk of returning to poverty in Gan, Yun, Qing, Gan, Gui, and Tibetan regions should not be ignored, and it will still be the key area of concern for the consolidation of the results of poverty alleviation, and the risk of relative poverty is generally a serious situation in the countryside, and the tailor-made differentiated regional relative poverty standards are more in line with the countryside The concept of revitalization practice; the digital economy as a whole has an obvious driving effect on rural poverty alleviation and revitalization, but there are differences in the contribution of specific indicators to the interpretation of the vulnerability of rural households to absolute and relative poverty. Based on this, relevant policies and recommendations are put forward in a targeted manner, with a view to providing practical ideas for the effective convergence of rural poverty eradication and revitalization.
