Enhancing thermal comfort and photovoltaic efficiency through thermotropic starch–hydrogel composite membrane integration in sustainable building fenestration
Here, a transparent hydrogel membrane is made from waste potato peels for next-gen smart windows. The material can adjust to temperature, reducing indoor heat, and boosting solar panel efficiency by up to 15%. Our approach is a step forward in energy-efficient, climate-responsive architecture.
