YOGA AS A TOOL FOR EMPOWERMENT: PROMOTING SELF-ESTEEM AND CONFIDENCE IN DIVYAANG INDIVIDUALS
Yoga is a powerful practice that enhances physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. For individuals with disabilities (Divyaang), yoga serves as a tool for empowerment by fostering self-esteem, confidence, and independence. This paper explores the transformative impact of yoga on Divyaang individuals, focusing on its ability to promote self-acceptance, resilience, and personal growth. Through a thematic analysis, the paper examines the role of adaptive yoga, psychological empowerment, social inclusion, and policy frameworks that support accessible yoga. The findings suggest that integrating yoga into rehabilitation and community programs can significantly improve the quality of life and self-confidence of Divyaang individuals.
