Synergistic doping and microenvironment engineering enable efficient electrocatalytic oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural

We synthesised a composite catalyst, Co-NiO/Cr 2 O 3 , employing a synergistic approach of doping and microenvironment optimisation. This catalyst demonstrates exceptional HMFOR activity, with a faradaic efficiency of 99.2% and selectivity of 99.17%.
