THE PLACE AND ROLE OF PHARMACOGNOSY IN THE IMPROVEMENT OF PHARMACOPOEIAL ANALYSIS OF MEDICINAL PLANT RAW MATERIALS

In the present article are discussed the actual aspects of the standardization of medicinal plant raw materials, which are reflected in the State Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation of the XIV and XV editions. It was shown that the set of physical-chemical and spectral characteristics of biologically active compounds should be considered as the most important model in the formation of the methodological basis for the scientific substantiation of the chemical classification of medicinal plant raw materials, as well as methods of standardization methods of standardization of pharmaceutical substances and criteria of their authenticity and quality.
